Servicing and Maintenance

Fire Protection Equipment - Qualified to FETA standards

Servicing and maintenance of fire extinguishers

It is a legal requirement that monthly visual checks, supplemented by more thorough and detailed annual checks or tests, are carried out on all appliances. The monthly checks should include inspection of the actual extinguishers to ensure they are correctly sited, have not been discharged, and have not suffered obvious damage.

The annual inspection must be carried out by a trained service engineer.
Full details of the recommended inspections are given in British Standard 5306: Part 3.

In addition to these inspections, it is also advisable to carry out discharge tests at the recommended intervals for each type of extinguishers.

Engineers trained to FETA standards

Our service engineers are qualified to FETA standards.

All equipment will be maintained and supplied according to current British and European Standards.
